A sad day for CLyde, my 4runner

Monday morning on my way to work my 84 runner blew her head gasket sad sad panda i am.
AND my FJ was out of commision so all my vehicles were down. Scrambled and finished getting parts/fixing the fj yesterday so i can at least drive again. and WOW is it luxurious LMFAO power and comfort are NOT overrated in a vehicle. i missed my FJ (but not so bad i wanted the 4runner to die)
sooo now i am determining if i am milling the head and fixing current motor (on top of head gasket, it has MANY MANY other issues to fix) or saving $$$ and finding a wrecked taco and dropping in a 2.7L for honestly probably not too much more than completely fixing current engine/trans problems.......
and if i go the wrecked taco route, it will give me other parts i need such as IFS steering box for highsteer, seats, etc....

Ouch that sucks Una. What was up with the FJ? My only word of caution with getting a J-yard engine is that you might be opening a whole new can of worms, be careful if you go that route.

Our local yota junk yard is really good, i know the guy that runs it too.
i will probably find a tacoma that a person is trying to sell that is damaged though and go that route
the fj well... last wheeling trip cause the folloing:
no rear shocks, no rear swaybar, bent 4link bars which pulled my axle crooked....

Ouch! I eliminated the rear sway bar a while back and threw a quick-disconnect on the front. That sounds like a good route though, get a decent parts truck; then you can flex on it when you get Clyde done lol.
